HMSI set to entice biking enthusiasts with a ‘Fun Riding Experience’; coming with
‘Honda Motor Sports Event’ • Three days activity scheduled from 31st Oct-2nd Nov New Delhi, September 12, 2008: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI), the 100% owned 2-wheeler subsidiary of the Honda Motor Company, Japan – the world’s largest manufacturer of 2-wheelers, intends to provide ‘Fun Riding Experience’ to enthusiasts in India through a racing event called ‘Honda Motor Sports event’. Biking enthusiasts generally dream of racing in a safe closed track where he can enjoy riding keeping his safety into concern. Thereby through ‘Honda Motor Sport Event’ HMSI will be able to fulfill the desires of these enthusiasts. Added to these participants will also get a chance to improve their riding skills through rounds of practices and eliminations, which will further enable them to implement these skills in their day to day riding. This will be a three days activity, scheduled from 31st Oct-2nd Nov in MMST Track, Chennai. With practice and elimination rounds on the first day, the other two days will be followed by the final race. The Honda bikes that will be used for the event are CBR 150 and CBF Stunner. The Honda CBR 150R is a 150 cc sports bike which is a part of the Honda CBR series. With a Liquid-cooled 4-stroke two valve DOHC single engine and 6 speed transmissions it is targeted mainly to Southeast Asia. HMSI will be importing these bikes from Thailand. The Honda CBF Stunner, is Honda’s new Sporty and stylish bike inspired, from CBR 1000 from Europe. It is an affordable youngster’s sport bike whose mass production is done in India. This motorcycle with its high performance Honda engine having 5 speed transmission aptly fits into the category with its design, high performance and style. Starting with ‘Honda Motor Sport Event’, HMSI is planning to organise various local level activities to provide ‘fun riding’ experience to enthusiasts on a regular basis in future.
