Honda joins hands with Gujarat police to strengthen road safety in the state

Gandhinagar, August 27, 2019: Further solidifying its commitment to make Indian roads safer, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) today flagged off its road safety program in Gujarat.  This program in association with Gujarat police aims to provide quick assistance to road accident victims and save their lives.

Fulfilling its corporate social responsibility, Honda 2Wheelers India is now providing motorcycles to Gujarat police. These motorcycles have been powered with modern policing features like revolving flashers & blinkers, public announcement system, sirens, flash lights, two Honda safety helmets per motorcycle & cruiser side box.

The motorcycles were presented to the police in the august presence of Mr. Vijay Rupani - Chief Minister, Gujarat, Mr. Shivanand Jha – IPS, Director General & Inspector General of Police, Gujarat State, Mr. Mayur J. Chavda, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Gandhinagar and Mr Harbhajan Singh, Director - General & Corporate Affairs, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. and other senior dignitaries from the state government and Gujarat Police.

Highlighting on this initiative, Mr Harbhajan Singh, Director, General & Corporate Affairs, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Further ensuring safety for all citizens, today we join hands with Gujarat Police and present Honda motorcycles. These customized motorcycles will help them in preventing crime in the state.”

Prior to the latest association with Gujarat Police, Honda has already powered the quick response team of Maharashtra (Pune), Jharkhand (Jamshedpur, Ranchi & Dhanbad), Punjab (Mohali) and Haryana (Gurugram & Panchkula) with Honda motorcycles for faster patrolling and crime prevention. Expanding this commitment, Honda will further expand this drive to more states in the near future.
